Geothermal energy is at the core of energy utilization at MoNa RESIDENCE.
This sustainable process involves capturing heat or coolness from the ground at a depth of 250 meters to heat and cool the infrastructure through approximately forty probes (shown in green on the image below).

In the technical room, this energy is transferred to the building through heat pumps and then active slabs.
The geothermal loop ensures 100% of the heating and cooling of the building. It also enables the production of 54% of the domestic hot water. Thermal solar panels installed on the roof (70m2) complement the domestic hot water requirements.
To ensure the energy performance of the building, it has been structurally designed to be less sensitive to external temperature variations. The strategies used limit solar heat gain and reduce the need for air conditioning in summer, as well as heat loss in winter.
A home automation interface allows each resident to control the heating, air conditioning, and lighting systems, promoting energy-efficient behaviors.
The MoNa RESIDENCE has been honored with the Energy Prize by Monaco’s Ecological Transition Mission for its innovative bioclimatic design.
Additionally, the residence boasts the esteemed international BREEAM certification, achieving an “excellent” rating. This recognition highlights the residence’s commitment to quality and environmental sustainability in perfect alignment with the Mediterranean climate. The beautiful gardens, expertly designed by landscape architect Jean Mus, further enhance the residence’s eco-friendly atmosphere.CIP – SOLE AGENT
